¶ Miscellaneous Commands
This will guide you through how to setup the miscellaneous commands of SnailBot. This does not cover automatic feed commands or manual feed commands.
You do NOT need to include the
<>or[]in the commands themselves.
¶ Polls
Along with having the latest up-to-date news from War Thunder and your other favorite games, you can now host a poll with custom settings!
¶ Creating the poll
- Go into a channel that SnailBot is present in, and type
+poll - The bot will begin the setup process automatically. Simply reply with what it asks and go through the process. Near the end, you will be presented with an option to choose which channel to post the poll in. Once a channel is given, the poll will begin in the specified channel with the specified amount of time given.
- Done!
¶ Using the poll
Once a poll is created, users can vote on the poll by reacting to the messages with the reactions you set.
We suggest placing the poll in a channel where users cannot add their own reactions to reduce spam. However, this will not affect the outcome of the poll if users add their own.
¶ Custom Embeds
For those of you who know a bit of Discord, you may know about rich embeds and embeds. SnailBot can create custom embeds for your own needs, whether it's for a tutorial or something else.
¶ Creating the embed
- Go into a channel that SnailBot is present in, and type
+customcommands new <name> - The bot will begin the setup process automatically. Simply reply with what it asks and go through the process. For this specific feature, you would want to type in
embedfor the first question. Please note that in order to create an embed, you must know the rich embed structure. Take a look at the image below for a visual example.
¶ Displaying the embed
Run the command you setup for this, and it will show the embed you created.
¶ Editing / Deleting the embed
Use the following command(s) to perform certain tasks:
+customcommands delete <name>- Delete a given custom command / embed.+customcommands edit <name>- Edit a given custom command / embed+customcommands list- Lists all custom commands / embeds

If you would like to create a custom command which displays given text / information, then this is the one for you!

Run the command you setup for this, and it will show the text that you entered.
